How Far Is the End of the Earth?
Somewhere between a fourteen-hour flight and a twenty-minute drive.
There is a Hmong village twenty minutes' drive from our church. Some days those twenty minutes feel harder than a fourteen-hour flight.
Going far requires preparation and resolve. Going near feels like something we can always do later — which is why we often never do.
Perhaps the end of the earth is not a matter of distance but of attention.
